Measurement
Measure and analyze dimensions within segments.
- The
Measurement
tool allows users to take precise measurements within segments, which is useful for detailed analysis and validation of model dimensions.
Steps:
- Choose the
Measurement
button from the sidebar. - Select the desired measurement type from the dropdown menu (Line, Angle, Curve, Closed Curve, Plane).
- Place fiducial markers to define the measurement.
- View the measurement results in the Measurements table.
Measurement Types
- Line: Measures the straight-line distance between two points.
- Angle: Measures the angle between three points.
- Curve: Measures the length of a curved path defined by multiple points.
- Closed Curve: Measures the perimeter and area of a closed curve defined by multiple points.
- Plane: Measures the dimensions of a plane defined by multiple points.
Measurements Table
- The measurements table displays all active measurements with their respective details (e.g., type, length, angle, area).
Import Measurements
- Allows users to import measurements from a single file or multiple files.
- To import measurements, click the "Import Measurement" button in the Measurement Table to open the File Browser.
- Finally, choose one or more measurement files from the File Browser and click the Open button to import the measurements. They will appear in the Measurement Table as well as in the 2D/3D scenes.
Export Measurements
- Allows users to export measurements to a file for sharing or further analysis.
- To export a measurement, select the desired measurement and click the "Export Measurement" button. An export dialog will appear where you can specify options such as the measurement file type, filename, and destination directory.
- Finally, click the Save button to complete the export process.
Delete Measurements
- Allows users to delete selected measurements from the table. To delete one or more measurement items, hold Ctrl, select the desired items, and then click the Delete button.
